First look deal

A first look deal is any contract containing a clause granting, usually for a fee or other consideration that covers a specified period of time, a right of pre-emption, right of first refusal, or right of first offer (also called a right of first negotiation) to another party, who then is given the first opportunity to buy outright, co-own, invest in, license, etc., something that is newly coming into existence or on the market for the first time or after an absence, such as intellectual property (manuscript, musical composition, invention, artwork, business idea, etc.) or real property (real estate).

Film industry

In the film industry, it is an agreement between a writer and an independent producer (production company) or an independent producer and a film studio in which the potential buyer (producer or studio) of a not-yet-written script or in-development movie or television project pays a development fee to the writer or producer for the right to have the first look at the new material before others in the industry get to see it, and at that time make an offer to purchase or distribute or adhere to purchase or distribution terms already stated in the agreement.

Look (UK magazine)

Look is a glossy high street fashion and celebrity weekly magazine for young women. It is published by IPC Media, and edited by Ali Hall. The magazine focuses on fashion, high street shopping advice, celebrity style and news, and real-life stories.

History

Launched in February 2007, Look delivered a debut ABC of 318,907 making it the most successful launch in 17 years. It is a weekly high street fashion magazine for women. One of its most popular franchises is High Street Hottest, which showcases the latest products to hit the high street.

Look.co.uk was launched in 2008. It showcases high street fashion, beauty and celebrity style news.

Rated number 14 out of 22 for the second half of 2013Look magazine offers fashion, shopping and beauty advice for the average woman, as well as celebrity gossip. The magazine also brings news coverage of well-known people in the media. It also uses models with more average sized bodies to show off fashion.

As conducted by the Audit Bureau of Circulation in July to December 2013, the magazine company received a total of 187,884 readers whereas the National Readership Survey reported 487,000 during October 2012 to September 2013.

Look (Song for Children)

"Look" (labelled on session tapes as "I Ran") is a composition written by Brian Wilson for American rock band the Beach Boys, intended as a potential track for the band's aborted Smile concept album. Due to lost tapes and scarce information, the recording of "Look" exists today only as an instrumental piece.

In 2004, "Look" was rewritten with Van Dyke Parks as "Song for Children", and released on Wilson's solo rerecording of Smile.

Composition

The song was to be entitled "Look", but during later vocal overdubs was marked as "I Ran" on session tape boxes. The tapes in these boxes remain lost, so it is unknown what the vocal arrangement of the song consisted of in 1966. An explanation for the title "I Ran" can be attributed as the answer to a repeated lyrical question occurring in "Cabin Essence" ("Who ran the iron horse?").

Placing emphasis on glockenspiel, clavichord, and pounding floor toms, the instrumental track bears some melodic and stylistic similarities to the penultimate choral fugato of the recent Wilson composition "Good Vibrations". "Look" was attempted early on in Smile sessions, being the second song worked on after "Good Vibrations"—possibly having branched from the composition as a byproduct of its arduous gestation. A prominent section of the song makes reference to the iconic opening of the American ragtime piece "Twelfth Street Rag", as per the album's persistent Americana theme. Vocal overdubs were recorded on October 13, 1966 (1966-10-13).

Pokémon Heroes

Pokémon Heroes: Latios and Latias, commonly referred to as Pokémon Heroes, originally released in Japan as Pocket Monsters the Movie: The Guardians of Altomare (劇場版ポケットモンスター 水の都の護神 ラティアスとラティオス, Gekijōban Poketto Monsutā Mizu no Miyako no Mamorigami Ratiasu to Ratiosu, lit. "The Guardian Gods of the City of Water: Latias and Latios"), is a 2002 Japanese anime film directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. It is the fifth film in the Pokémon series, complementing Pokémon: Master Quest (the last season of Pocket Monsters story arc in the Japanese version). The film was released in Japan on July 13, 2002, and stars the regular television cast of Rica Matsumoto, Yuji Ueda, Mayumi Iizuka, Megumi Hayashibara, Shin-ichiro Miki and Ikue Ōtani. The English adaptation was produced by 4Kids Entertainment and distributed by Miramax Films (a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company), and saw a limited release in the United States on May 16, 2003, before being released to video and DVD in January 2004. The English version stars the regular television cast of Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, Rachael Lillis and Maddie Blaustein.

Pokémon 3: The Movie

Pokémon 3: The Movie: Entei - Spell of the Unown, commonly referred to as Pokémon 3: The Movie, originally released in Japan as Pocket Monsters the Movie: Lord of the "UNKNOWN" Tower (劇場版ポケットモンスター 結晶塔の帝王 ENTEI, Gekijōban Poketto Monsutā Kesshōtō no Teiō, lit. "Emperor of the Crystal Tower ENTEI"), is a 2000 Japanese anime film directed by Kunihiko Yuyama as the third feature-length Pokémon film. It was released theatrically in Japan on July 8, 2000, and the English adaptation was released theatrically in the United States on April 6, 2001. This adaptation, the final Pokémon film to be distributed by Warner Bros., was produced by 4Kids Entertainment.

Like its predecessors, it is preceded by a 20-minute short film titled Pikachu and Pichu, which marks the debut of the mischievous Pichu Bros., who help Pikachu reunite with his trainer after being separated (without Ash even knowing, due to him preparing a party to celebrate the day Pikachu and he first met). This was also the first Pokémon film to premiere in an IMAX theater. The realistic crystallization and Unown created a 3D effect in the film.

"Celebi: The Meeting that Traversed Time"), is a 2001 Japanese anime film directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and based on the television series Pokémon. It is the fourth official Pokémon film. It was released in Japan on July 7, 2001. The film was directed in Japan by Kunihiko Yuyama, and written by Hideki Sonoda. It stars the regular television cast of Rica Matsumoto, Ikue Ōtani, Mayumi Iizuka, Yūji Ueda, Megumi Hayashibara, and Shin-ichiro Miki.

The English adaption of the film, produced by 4Kids Entertainment and distributed by Miramax Films (being the first Pokémon film to be released by Miramax), was released on October 11, 2002 in the United States. It was directed by Jim Malone, and written by Norman J. Grossfeld. The English adaption stars the regular television cast of Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, Rachael Lillis, and Maddie Blaustein.
